Uplift partners with JURBAN. In 2007, The Juxtopia Group, LLC created the Juxtopia URBAN Challenge - a project co-sponsored by Bowie State University and others to provide high school and college students with experience building an autonomous vehicle. JURBAN Challenge is modeled after the DARPA URBAN Challenge - a race JURBAN ultimately plans to enter. Uplift is assisting with curricula development and construction of the vehicle.

Electronic Rain donates software. Electronic Rain donates multiple licenses of their popular 3D animation software, Swift 3D. This software is being used in the FreeStyle NEXT program in Washington, DC.

Uplift sponsors JULT2007. Uplift partners with The Juxtopia Group, LLC to sponsor the 2nd Annual Juxtopia Urban Learning Technology (JULT) Conference.

Uplift partners with Themba. Uplift partners with Themba, an after-school program in Washington, DC for students up to grade 5. Uplift created their summer technology curricula and managed its implementation.

Learning Technology Research

Uplift's Center for Learning and Educational Media publicly releases Myles and Ayesha as 'learning companions' to encourage learning and exploration of STEM, history, art, and reading. This comes with the release of the Myles & Ayesha Black Inventors Match Game iPhone App - the first in the Apple Store to teach a piece of Black History targeting children.

Innovations for Learning releases a handheld device called TeacherMate, used for reading instruction in urban first grade classrooms.
